Notary Public Services =
We come to you! Notaries Public are Public Officers appointed by the Governor with the
advice and consent of Council. Our jurisdiction is statewide, regardless of county or locality. (M.G.L. c. 222 § 1).
Two things are required that enable the officer to execute the authority; (1) positive identification
and (2) personal appearance. Our commission enables us to perform the following duties on behalf of the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts:
(1)
Issue Subpoena's & Summonses: If you need a witness to testify on your behalf, but he/she is unwilling too,
you may request that our Notary Public issue an order (Subpoena ad testificandum) to obligate them to appear.
In addition, if the witness has documents, pictures, objects, etc. that you need, the Officer can issue what is called a Subpoena
Duces Tecum, which requires the person to appear and have with them the specified things. Failure to abide by a Subpoena
or a Summons, could result in a contempt of court.
(2)
Take Evidence & Testimony: When you have a pending court case, you may apply to a Notary Public and request
that he/she be present for the taking of your deposition (oral questioning outside of court). The Notaries role is to administer
the oaths/affirmations, and to perpetuate the testimony for the courts use.
(3)
Take Affidavits (Jurat's): An affidavit is a written statement, usually about the truth of a set of facts,
sworn to before a person who is officially permitted by law to administer an oath (Notary, Justice of the Peace,
etc.). Therefore, if you need an affidavit, and you already have, or will have your statement in writing, feel free to contact
us. If an affidavit is deemed untruthful, then the affiant has committed perjury and could face severe penalties.
(4)
Acknowledgments: We 'bear witness' or 'acknowledge' deeds and numerous types of other documents, (instruments)
such as bill's of sale, power of attorney's, rental agreements, notes, letters, un-sworn declarations, etc. Most things that
need to be offiicially recorded must bear the seal of a public officer.
(5)
Administer Oaths/Affirmations: Unless otherwise expressly provided, Notaries may administer oaths or affirmations
in all cases in which an oath or affirmation is required. An oath is equivalent to an affirmation, the only difference is
that an oath makes a vow of truthfulness or fidelity under the pains and penalties of perjury by invoking a deity (God). An
affirmation makes a vow of truthfulness or fidelity under the pains and penalties of perjury without invoking a deity.
(6)
Signature Witness: Notaries Public can witness a signature to add authenticity to the signed name. This is not
an oath; therefore the penalties of perjury do not apply.
(7)
Certify Copies: If you have an original copy of a document that needs to be, or should be, certified, then you
should call us, or appear before another Notary to get it done. Please note, you have to have an original in order for us
to certify it. No exceptions will be made.
(8)
Open Bank Safe: A Notary Public may be required to be at the opening of a bank vault/safe. The Notaries role
is to list the contents of the vault/safe. Many times our Notaries will do an audit of safe deposit boxes.
(9)
Protest's & Notices of Dishonor: A Notary Public may protest negotiable instruments pursuant to the Uniform
Commercial Code (UCC). In Massachusetts, once a Notary Public issues a Certificate of Default and/or a Notice of Dishonor,
it is construed as prima facie evidence. Click here for more information: Notarial Protest
And
any and all other authority granted by state law and the Governor's Executive Order 455 (04-04)

Some of our Paralegals are members of the Massachusetts Paralegal Association (MPA), and the National Federation of Paralegal
Associations (NFPA). Each Paralegal has earned some sort of educational certificate from an accredited institute and/or has
had extensive hands on training with certified Paralegals. Our Paralegals must obey the Code of Ethics as mandated by the MPA. A client may be fired
if the Paralegal engages in anything unethical, as described in the code. We offer the following services:
(1) Investigations: We are willing to assist you and your attorney in conducting all types
of investigations. We seek out the facts of a case, and jump on every credible lead. We're able to investigate civil,
criminal, and landlord vs. tenant disputes. Call us for more information. (We are not Private Investigators. We
work with you and your attorney. In-depth and special investigations are turned over to a Private Investigator. If you do
not have an attorney that we can work with directly, under his/her supervision, then we cannot perform investigations for
you. A paralegal's job description entails investigating the facts of a client's case.)
(2)
Case Preparation: If you would like us to organize and prepare a case, either to your attorney or yourself, then
we can assist you. Case preparation usually involves investigations and people searches. What ever we have to do too help
you present your case, we're willing to do!
(3)
Advocacy: A Paralegal cannot represent you in court. However before most Government Agencies, such as the Department
of Transitional Assistance, and the Department of Social Services, we, as non-attorney's, can represent you with every
aspect of your case. We can speak to your case worker; arrange meetings; talk for you at those meetings; investigate
situations and then have it enforced if the departments officials are not following the regulations set forth by the Commonwealth.
(4)
Public Records Search Information: We will guide you in your hunt for that public record that could make or break
your case!

people and business in the United States. We will furnish the information we have contained in our database for you.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In addition, our business has access to Lexis, the most comprehensive online legal research
database available. We will research any legal topic, but we will NOT provide you with legal advice, or recommendations relating
to your topic. All we can do is furnish the information to you without any guarantee's as to the accuracy of what was found.
Some information can be accessed by using the Trial Court On-line Library.

Attorney Referral: Attorney's are all over the place! We want to provide you with the most reputable attorney
who practices in the field of law that you seek. You will be responsible for all attorney fees incurred by the attorney we

in turn uses the services of IPS which in the long run saves you and the attorney time and money.
(9)
Home Inspections: This service is offered to field inspectional services, landlords, and tenants. Our paralegals

(10)
Notice of Trespass: If you own property, public or private, and wish to bann someone from entering in or upon
the premises, you may contact one of our Paralegals who will give you a standard document for you to fill out. The Paralegal

the Trespass Order served upon the subject(s) named therein. To be enforceable, either you or the serving official must deliver
a copy to the local police department. Trespass pursuant to: M.G.L. c. 266 § 120.
(11)
Negotiation / Mediation: If you and another person have a dispute that you just can't seem to resolve, you may
request that our negotiators and/or mediators try to find a mutual agreement. The negotiator/mediator is an unbiased third
party that will listen to both sides of the dispute and try to find a point of compromise.
(12)
Witness Statements: IPS will locate potential witnesses and obtain notarized affidavits from them. A witness
is crucial to your case. Supporting witnesses can mean the difference between victory and defeat. IPS associates will do everything
possible to locate any witnesses who have first-hand knowledge regarding your case.

remember that you have rights. You should not be intimidated by Police nowadays. With the lastest technology (i.e.: cell phone
